looking all good and refreshed for the trip! look! the uncle even brought his bicycle and was the first to chiong out of the boat! ok quick, we mustn't lose out to him. the signboard looked so welcoming... the bicycles and boys there look promising too... until the horrible nightmare came 500m from the starting point, everyone started taking out their life-saving water bottles. Jessie's worse, she's squatting already?!
Apparently, the (useless) six of them got so freaked out by the up slopes that they decided to find some place to rest their tired legs. Not bad, the place looks serene and scenic with pumba lookalike... cheryl looks bored... li-li still looks good... vanessa looks cool... jessie looks too eager for her own good... angela looks bubbly still... yiling is like...................totally off. after resting for almost eternity, there they go again. Look at that slope?!
hurray! we're reaching our destinationour wonderful bicycles deserve more than a photo for accompanying us the whole day one last group photo before we leave the sunny island the red tee couple at the jetty we miss the air-con back in singapore! compare the tired looks with the first photo! after all the up slopes and insect bites and hot sun, we need foooodd! subway cookies/chips and air-con to the rescue! don't bother about them, they're just spastic. It's the heat stroke thing. There can never be a greater coincidence, we bumped into Rachel! God is good :)
Despite all the complaining and irritating bug bites, all six of them would agree readily that it was a fun trip. Though they don't know what they were talking about 99% of the time, the remaining 1% was sufficient to keep the salt shakers spirit alive.
We shall have more civilised outings next time!
Many thanks to our part-time photographer Angela (in case you didn't realise, she was missing from 3/4 of the photos cos she was taking them). Also to Vanessa who initiated the outing, to those who made it for the cycling trip, and YOU! For reading the blog post.
